Spring is coming, which means you're probably starting to think of all the warm weather projects that come with owning a home. One of those projects might even be landscaping. If you aren't sure where to start with your next
landscaping project
, here are some tips to help you prepare.
Consider your Taste
To get started with your landscaping project, consider your individual tastes. What patterns, colors and types of plants do you enjoy? You want to surround yourself with things you'll find pleasing, so figuring out what to plant is a good first step. You should also research your climate to determine which plants will thrive in your area and which ones to stay away from.
Create a Plan
Once you know what you want to plant, research the best time of year to do it. Some seeds are best planted in early spring while others thrive better when planted closer to summer. Plot out where you want to plant everything so you have an idea of where things will go when you go out to do the job.
Get Your Supplies
It's no fun to get your gardening clothes on and go out to your yard to start working only to find you don't have the right supplies. Take inventory of what you already have and make a list of what you'll need to purchase before you start your project.
Once you have a good plan in place, you'll be all ready to landscape around your home. For more landscaping tips, contact AA & Bob Allen Inc.
